04What hair types do you specialize in?
Natural and textured hair care is central to our work, with a focus on kinky and coily textures. Services include locs, twists, braids, wash & go styling, heat styling, and protective styles.
Do you offer relaxers or texturizers?
No. Good Hair Salon is centered on natural hair care and does not offer services intended to chemically change your natural texture.
Do I need a consultation first?
A consultation is a good starting point when you are new, unsure which service to select, beginning or repairing locs, planning a major color change, or requesting a custom style that is not listed.
How should I arrive for my appointment?
Follow the preparation details in your service listing and appointment confirmation. If you are unsure whether wash, preparation, take-down, or detangling is included, contact the salon before your visit.
Appointments & policies
05What if I booked the wrong service?
Contact us before the appointment so we can review the booking. The confirmed services determine the time reserved, and some changes may require a different appointment time or rescheduling.
Can I change my service during the appointment?
We will do our best to help, but same-day changes depend on the additional time, staffing, and pricing verification required. We may need to complete the service already scheduled or rebook the updated request.
Do you require a deposit?
Deposit requirements can vary by service and appointment. Any current requirement should be shown before you confirm the booking; contact us if the booking details are unclear.
Where can I find cancellation, rescheduling, and late-arrival terms?
Use the current terms shown during online booking and in your appointment confirmation. For a same-day issue, call the salon as soon as possible so the team can explain the options available for your specific appointment.
Can I bring a guest or request an accommodation?
To support a comfortable, on-time salon environment, check with us before bringing someone who is not receiving a service. If you need a guest for support or require an accommodation, contact us before your appointment.
Pricing & service details
04Why can pricing vary?
Appointment complexity, time, stylist experience, hair length or density, part size, finished length, take-down, and added services can affect pricing. Your service listing provides the starting point for the appointment selected.
What does “starting at” mean?
It reflects the baseline version of a service. Final time or pricing may change when the requested style, hair needs, length, density, material, or additional work goes beyond that baseline.
Are add-ons included in the service price?
Only when the service listing says they are included. Wash and preparation, detangling, take-down, treatments, size, length, and styling may be separate options depending on the core service.
What if something does not feel right after my service?
Contact the salon promptly with the appointment details and your concern so the team can review what happened and explain the appropriate next step.
Loc services
04Do you start locs?
Yes. Starter locs are a core service pathway. The right method depends on your hair, lifestyle, and long-term goal, so a consultation may be recommended.
How often should I book loc maintenance?
Maintenance timing varies by your loc journey, scalp, routine, and preferred finish. Your stylist can help you choose a cadence that fits your hair and goals.
Do you do loc repairs?
Repair support can include questions about thinning, breakage, combining, or reattachment. Because the work varies, a consultation may be needed to reserve accurate time.
Can I combine loc maintenance with a style?
Yes. Use the Loc Retightening with Style package, choose Loc Retwist or Loc Interlock Retightening, then add the finishing style so enough time is reserved.
Braids & extension hair
04Do you provide the braiding hair?
It depends on the service. The current service description should state what is included or what you must bring. Ask before the appointment if the listing is unclear.
How do I choose braid size and length?
Start with the braid package, then select the size and finished length closest to your reference. These choices affect fullness, timing, product needs, and price.
Can I share a reference photo?
Yes. Reference photos are especially helpful for braid pattern, part size, finished length, loc finishing styles, and custom requests. Choose the closest core service first.
What if I have a sensitive scalp?
Include that information when booking and tell your stylist before the service begins. The team can discuss tension and options, but be sure to share known sensitivities and products or extension hair that have worked for you.
Current appointment terms
Your booking confirmation is the final reference.
Deposit, cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, and service-specific preparation terms can vary. Review the terms shown at booking and in your confirmation, then contact us before the appointment if anything is unclear.
